For opening weekend of Killers of the Flower Moon, Apple Original Films needed an innovative idea to inspire younger, more social audiences to buy tickets to their blockbuster release directed by Martin Scorsese.

These younger film fanatics live on Letterboxd, a social media app devoted to cinephiles. Letterboxd boasts small but mighty usership of more than 10 million members who rate and review the movies they see and connect with fellow cinephiles.

Social data revealed Martin Scorsese was one of the most popular talents mentioned on Letterboxd.
